How old are our bikes?
Our bikes were received in February 2024. They will therefore be only 9 months old in November (2500-3500 km on average)!
What is the range of the bikes?
Our bikes have a long range. The manufacturer's data is 150 km of road with a new, fully charged battery. In reality, this depends on the level of assistance you use, the difficulty of the route, and the user's weight.
For a woman weighing 65 kg riding on flat terrain with the pedal assist set to the intermediate level, the range will be around 110 km.
For an 85 kg rider, cycling on rough terrain with high assistance, the range will be around 60 km.
How long does it take before batteries need to be replaced?
The batteries have a lifespan of about 1500 cycles. Over the season (in 9 months), we average around a hundred cycles.
So you still have… many cycles left!
Can they climb steep slopes?
Our bikes are equipped with a Shimano E6100 mid-drive motor with 60Nm of torque, making it easier for you to climb hills. During our guided tours, for example, we ride up the Croix-Rousse and Fourvière hills.
How fast do bicycles go?
French legislation limits the assistance of all electric bikes to 25 km/h.
What is the maintenance for an electric bike?
Maintaining an electric bike is not very different from a standard bike. The only real difference lies in the maintenance of the battery. You will need to recharge it at least once a month when not in use, and not leave it below 0°C in the winter and 40°C in the summer (-10°C and 50°C when in use)!
What optional accessories are available?
- Basket and Klickfix mount – included
- Abus helmet (S, M, L) – €30
How do you book a bike?
To reserve a bike, simply contact us by email at contact@lyonbiketour.com or by phone at 06 51 36 33 47.
When will the bikes be available?
We are launching the resale operation starting September 12. Once all the bikes are reserved, we perform a general overhaul so that you get a ride that feels like new! You will be able to pick up your bike after this overhaul, starting December 11.
