Our safety rules
Security is THE essential point
of our concept. No pleasure without security!
All of our routes take bicycle lanes or paths suitable for cycling. Despite this, Ithe highway code applies in the same way as when you are in a car:
- I stop at red lights… and at stop signs
- I yield the right of way to pedestrians and other vehicles whenever necessary (signs, etc.)
- I yield the right of way
- I signal a right or left turn with my arm
- I stay in single file and I do not overtake when I am riding
- I remain focused
- I don't drive on the sidewalks
- I slow down on cobbled areas
- I control my speed when going down the hills of Croix-Rousse and Fourvière
Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended (and mandatory for children under 12 years of age) when riding a bicycle. Lyon BIKE Tour will provide you with one at the start of your tour. These are certified and must be adjusted to your size before you leave.
Lyon BIKE Tour guarantees you periodically serviced electric bicycles by professionals for maximum security:
- Revised brakes in good condition to avoid any danger
- A compliant audible warning device (bell) to warn of a problem or danger
- Functional front and rear lights to be seen at night (or when the weather is very gray)
- Tires in good condition and at optimal pressure.
