An electric bike is like a classic bike, but less tiring. The little detail that makes a big difference is the electric motor. No more fear of climbing the Fourvière or Croix-Rousse hill; the electric assistance allows you to overcome difficulties without the slightest effort! You still have to turn the pedals, it's not a scooter! Easy to handle, the electric assistance is easily controlled from the handlebars. In short, an electric bike is like a bike, but easier!

Lyon Bike Tour is accessible to anyone over 1.50 m tall and who knows how to ride a bike... without training wheels 🙂 You simply need to be comfortable on a standard bicycle. Generally, we recommend our tours for children starting at 12 years old. For babies and children under 25 kg, a secure child seat to be placed at the back of the parents’ bike is available as an option (+€5). For children aged 6 to 12, a longtail bike can be provided upon request. 

The electric-assist bike requires no more effort than walking, so there is no need to dress in sportswear! Remember to bring warm clothes, gloves, and a scarf when the weather is cool (in winter obviously, but not only then!). We also advise you to think about your sunglasses in the summer, as well as a waterproof jacket in case of rain. Remember to check the weather the day before or the morning of to plan your outfit accordingly. 😉

Your guide will be happy to point out the best bouchons, outing ideas, and other great addresses not to be missed during your stay in Lyon... and yes, as Guignol said, not everyone can be from Lyon!

Yes, we offer full-day and half-day electric bike rentals with helmet and lock included (€40 / day and €30 / half-day).

It is entirely possible for you to join us with your electric bike, but you will still need to make a reservation by taking care to contact us in advance to let us know. Please note, however, that our bikes are equipped with a Bosch Performance motor and a 36V 15Ah battery, giving them a high range and a certain amount of power compared to a mid-range electric bike.

You can cancel directly online up to 72 hours before the tour. Any cancellation within the last 72 hours will not be refunded.

Our guides speak French and English! You will need to choose the language in which you want the tour to take place when making your reservation. For private tours, we can offer tours in Spanish or Dutch (upon request). 

The tours are still running. We will provide you with waterproof ponchos so you can enjoy the tour without getting too wet! However, in the event of severe weather: heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, hail, snow, or flooding of the Rhône (the last major flood was in 1856!), we may decide to cancel the tour. In this case, we will try to reschedule your tour for a later date or issue a full refund.

Would you like to give a gift voucher? Nothing could be simpler, just buy it online directly on our website. On the page of the chosen tour, you will find a tab below the price «Give a gift voucher». A PDF gift voucher will be generated which you can print and give. The recipient will then choose the date and time they want by entering the code indicated on the voucher. Lyon Bike Tour allows you to visit Lyon by electric bike, but not only that! Your guide will make regular short breaks, not to rest (you won't be tired!) but to share anecdotes about the city with you! For each monument, anecdote, or viewpoint, we will stop for a varying length of time (max 10 min). A unique photo opportunity you can't miss? You can, of course, ask your guide to stop whenever you want, while respecting the group and safety rules.

We provide you with a latest-generation electric assist bike, a helmet, and rain gear (if needed). In addition, a passionate local guide will accompany you to help you discover the treasures of Lyon. On the 4-hour Lyon Tour, a tasting break is also included, as well as a walking tour of Old Lyon. Above all, Lyon Bike Tour offers you the opportunity to live an authentic, friendly, and fun experience in the fresh air!

The further in advance you book, the more you will optimize your chances of finding availability on the dates of your choice and experiencing the Lyon Bike Tour alongside us. You just need to consult the calendar where real-time availability is indicated.

You can notify us of any potential delay by phone (+33 (0)6 51 36 33 47). For organizational purposes and out of respect for the other participants, the guide will start the tour after a 15-minute wait. If you arrive after these 15 minutes or if you do not show up, your reservation will be canceled and will not be eligible for any refund.
