WHAT IS AN ELECTRIC BIKE?
An electric bike is just like an ordinary bike. Ecological, quiet, with two wheels, two pedals, handle bars…but that’s not all! The difference lies in a small detail-the battery. No need to shy away from the hill of Fourvière or the Croix Rousse, the electric motor assistance helps you overcome the difficulties, nosweat! Lyon to ride, you can sit back and operate the electric motor assistance from the handlebars. Inshort, the electric bike is like any ordinary bike but a whole lot easier!
CAN EVERYONE RIDE ON AN E-BIKE ?
Lyon Bike Tour is accessible to everyone over 1.50m in height who knows how to ride a bike… without stabilizers! For kids less than 22kg a safe child seat is an option available.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR ?
The electric bike doesn’t require more effort than walking, so there is no need to turn up in sports gear!
Make sure you wear extra layers and gloves when it’s cold. Don’t forget your sunglasses in summer.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN LYON, APART FROM CYCLING ON AN ELECTRIC BIKE ?
Your guide will be happy to show you the best bouchons (Lyon’s traditional restaurants), bars and other recommended haunts not to be missed during your stay. It’s true, as Guignol the famous puppet once said, “Not everyone can be from Lyon”!
CAN I RENT AN ELECTRIC BIKE ?
Yes, we can rent an electric bike with a helmet, bike bags and bike lock (35 € per day)
WHAT DOES THE TOUR INCLUDE ?
We provide you with a latest generation electric bike, a helmet, a water bottle, as well as a rain coat if required. You also have a passionate local guide who is there to listen and help you discover the wealth that Lyons has to offer. You can also enjoy tasting all the specialties of the Lyonnaise cuisine! And above all, Lyon bike Tour gives you an opportunity to take part in a unique experience, entertaining and with a real human dimension!
DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE ?
The further ahead you book, the better your chances will be to get the day you want and ride alongside us at Lyon Bike tour. Do not hesitate, however, to contact us by e-mail or phone even at the last minute to check availability, or just to ask a question.
HOW MANY PEOPLE GO ON A TOUR ?
In order to guarantee the quality and safety of our tours, groups are limited to a maximum of 10 persons. If you have a request for more than 10 persons, please contact us.

I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE VISIT I'VE BOOKED. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ?
If you are going to be late contact us by phone (0033 (0)651 363 347). In order to respect other tour participants, the guide will wait you 15 minutes and then will begin the tour. No refund will be possible if you are late.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS ?
Not even rain can stop the real Lyonnais! Apart from thunderstorms and heavy rain, the tour will go ahead as planned, adapted in such a way as to avoid messing up your new hairdo. We will spend more time inside the monuments we visit, and the gastronomic pit-stops will be longer. If a tour is cancelled, you will have two options to choose from: another date or your money back.

HOW DOES THE TOUR WORK ?
Lyon Bike Tour is about visiting the city by bike, but that’s not all! Your guide will make regular pit-stops-not for you to take a rest (you won’t be in the slightest bit tired!), but to let you discover Lyon’s various must-sees. For every monument, anecdote or picturesque view, we will stop for a little while to take things in (10 minutes maximum). An amazing photo you want to capture right away? Ask to stop whenever you want, having made sure that the others in the group agree and that it’s safe to do so.
WHAT ABOUT CANCELLATION ?
Up to 72hrs before the tour, you have the possibility of cancelling your reservation with Lyon Bike Tour, without having to pay a cancellation fee. Lyon Bike Tour will then give you a complete refund. However, if you cancel less than 72hrs in advance (3 days) of the tour date, the total amount will not be refunded(except in emergency situations). If Lyon Bike Tour happens to cancel a tour, you will be given a complete refund.
CAN I PAY BY CREDIT CARD ?
Our PayPal security system accepts the majority of credit cards, as well as PayPal accounts.
CAN I COME ALONG WITH MY OWN ELECTRIC BIKE ?
If you would like to come along with us on your own electric bike, you will have to contact us before and to reserve. Do be aware that our bikes are equipped with 36V 9,6Ah and Innovélo technology which gives them longer battery life and somewhat greater performance compared to a middle of the range electric bike.
